The Director/Producer is the lead creative artist on set. He or she will communicate with the talent what is exactly needed to convey a particular scene. Often times the Director/Producer will be heavily involved in the casting, script editing, scene selection, and shot composition.

 

So happy. So inspired.

So full of Brain Crack and Word Vomit.

So nervous that I will wake up tomorrow and be too busy to remember this feeling.

Reasons I Don't Want a Kindle

So I just read the following post over at this blog.

Top 5 Reasons I Don't Want a Kindle

1. I prefer the feel of a book.
2. I'm making my way to owning my own personal library (I already have four bookcases in my bedroom alone - and my bedroom isn't that big).
3. Everyone keeps going on about how amazing Kindles are and it's started to annoy me.
4. I like being old-school and outdated.
5. I like how books smell (which sounds weird but that's me all over).

Saying that, my mum won a Kindle but, since she already has an e-reader, she gave it to me.
     Needless to say, I love it.  Don't get me wrong, I still prefer books, but there is something about the Kindle that makes me love it.  Maybe it's the fact that I like to think of it as a mini brain full of information.
     Moral of this story?  Buy a Kindle.

My thoughts exactly.

Well except her 3 & 4 -- I am a tech addict.

1. I prefer the feel of a book.

I do! I love how sometimes it is easy to hold it.

But sometimes holding is a pain in the ass.

I love turning each page because I can't wait to

see what is waiting for me on the other side.

2. I'm making my way to owning my own personal library.

I may or may not be a minor hoarder but

I love owning series books. Books in general.

And when it comes to series I am crazy anal.

If I start with a paperback, all must be paperback.

Same with having a hardcover start a series.

Or with special covers, like a UK  cover.

Or alt covers/new art work releases.

I'm like this with DVDs too.

And although a Kindle still displays a cover,

well, it's just not the same.

5. I like how books smell.

ME TOO!

That is my first memory of my favorite library.

Opening up a book and just breathing in the aroma from the page. 

I know this one kinda goes with #1 but still.

That being said...

If I got one for free, I would not shun it.

Sure, sure the free aspect doesn't hurt, but it is tech.

And I heart tech even if it doesn't heart me back.

The biggest reason I would support owning a Kindle
(or any eReader for that matter):

Storage/moving.

Although I love my personal library-

when I have to move houses/apartments

It. Is. A. Bitch. to move my books.

So heavy, so many.

When you have an eReader library,

obviously, one doesn't have this problem..

So.

I read the plot and had to read this book!

Girl Parts

Rating: Definitely enjoyable sci-fi.

*spoiler free*

I read this book in a day.

After finishing it I feel 3 things:

1- The Dollhouse similarities.
 There are some. It is the reason I needed to read this book.
I loved Joss Whedon's Dollhouse.
But I loved this story on it's own too.

2- At some parts I did want to punch some characters.

But I really liked that this book looked at the impact
of our digital world had on the kids growing up in it.
It may be science fiction, but it is a very interesting concept!

3- My favorite character was Rose.

She definitely had the best arc.
If there is a Book 2,
I want her in it!

Actually, I didn't mark out any quotes in this book...

Not to say it wasn't quoteable,

but I found myself loving entire passages!

Basically any part from Rose's POV, I loved.

 Something that IS a little spoilariffic is this video.
&& possibly one of the coolest book trailers I have seen!

2011 Boyfriend Application

I have been having probably the worst 3 consecutive days of my life.

And after waking up on January 1st filled with positive engery...

the first Facebook text I read was about this:

Chris, my last boyfriend proposed to his girlfriend of 3ish years

Um, wtfrak?

 I might be a b*tch sometimes,

but I am positive my karma isn't this bad.

So I quickly decided something I needed to put out to the universe

and thus posted it to tumblr/twitter, as they are the universe now.

Obviously.

After thinking about this more at work last night,

I am starting a Boyfriend Application.

Someone in the 6-degrees-of-separation of bloggy world,

has to know my future boyfriend, right?

And while the funny results of Google are a good start...

this is my future boyfriend we're talkin' about!

I am not looking for just anyone.

I mean I have been single for over 3yrs.

Requirements:

• Shows off silly faces and lots and lots of smiles from a quality mouth.
• Rolls down hills at the park with me, allergies and all.
• Can teach me new things.
• Not only accepts that I am a nerd, but loves me for it.
• Supplies adventures!
• Enough muscle to punch someone for me but not so much that it's gross.
• Can plan a BOMB.com date but also enjoys a night in on the couch with Chipotle and a movie marathon.
• Gives great hug.
• Loves me through my silly addictions.
• Dances for fun, not to look cool and get gals.
• Loves conversations with Smartypants Kat and Daft Blonde Kat.
• Provides opportunities and takes them on as well.
• Spins me about on the dance floor and in my head.
• Has "I've been too busy providing for you to shave" scruff sometimes.
• Sings karaoke with no shame (bonus: no broken eardrums either!)
• Understands Robin Williams advice from "Good Will Hunting" and make me feel the 'home' that Zach Braff speaks of in "Garden State"
