01 January 2012

Hello 2012!

Hello blog!
Here I am trying to start this year off right, and posting SOMETHING!

Last night I entered 2012 so much better than I did 2011.
At midnight 2011, I was already asleep and PISSED when fireworks woke me up.
My 31Dec2011 - 1Jan2012 went so much better. So much!

After spending most of yesterday out in Black Forrest the country,
without internet and without cell phone service depending on where you stood,
I drove back into the city around 9pm and called Ryan.

Best decision of 2011? Maybe!
By 10pm, I had been home, showered and was headed out the door to Ryan's house!

To quote Ryan:
We "Rang in 2012 the only way I know how, nerdy."

The plan?
Thanks to Steiny and Andrew,
MAKE RYAN A WHOVIAN BY THE NEW YEAR!
As you can see, I was prepared!

So after a little pizza & beer and ridiculously nerdy talk...
...shudder with me at this picture, ha!

I, with 3 awesome nerdy boys/friends, rang in 2012 RIGHT,
because over the strike of midnight, I was watching BLINK!

So maybe Ryan is still on the Whovian fence
and enjoyed viewing his Captain America BluRay on his fancy TV after more
(as I had missed watching Captain America in the cinema)...

I am still completely satisfied that I started 2012 the way I did.
To quote Steiny:
"Met and made new friends, the night was awesome.
I'm looking forward to this new year already."

For the first New Year in (sorry) years ages,
I am feeling positive! I am feeling inspired!

But I don't want to get bogged down in resolution goop...
SO this year I am only declaring a few resolutions for 2012!

*The Direct/Book Nerd Resolutions*
Read 101 new (to me) books in 2012.
Re-read Harry Potter. 1 each month, Jan - July.
Post a blog on the last day of every month re-caping the books I read.

*The Immeasurable Resolutions*
To feel a since of fulfillment as I step into 2013.

Hey 2012...

01 January 2011

Challenging Myself in 2011

If you read my tumblr or tweets yesterday,
you know I had a pretty shit day.
But that is past.
I want to look forward.
So.

In 2011,
I want to...

 (source)
Be more body positive.
I know saying that I want to lose weight seems
like a hypocritical statement after the one above
but mostly I want to do it right.

Share more.
I want to be more faithful to my blog and YouTube.
It might seem ridiculous, but I collect and collect
pictures and footage and then they just sit on
my computer taking of space and are never
actually shared or published. Lame.

Be creative.
This might sound like a silly one but I want to spend
more of my time being creative. I do spend a lot of time
online and watching TV but I like to  *make* things,
I just tend to forget or get too lazy to actually *do.*

You may have noticed the above^ picture in my sidebar -->
Basically,I have challenged myself to read 50 books
and I'll track my progress here on my blog!

Be happier.
I want to remember to recognize the simple
and smaller beautiful parts of life.
Really appreciate them.

*then there is the silly*
On my blog in 2010,
the Chipotle Count will return
and it will be joined by...
Boba Smoothies.
In December, I discovered Boba.
And basically went
Om nom nom nom!

Comment Q:

Challenging Myself in 2010

I randomly found the previous pic while surfing the interwebs.
I find it to be a #truth.
Another #truth is that the isn't only one one-way path.

Maybe this is a morbid way of thinking.
But hey, it is a #truth.

During the same interweb surfing I found this pic:

It reminded me of my blog bee eff eff & her 2010

but also it made me think of my 2010.

I need to change up my life this year.
I need to challenge myself.

So,
I am:

ALSO

It is no secret that I love Chipotle.

I was wicked pissed that they were closed on the New Year.

BUT

I quickly rectified that situation.

SO

I have decided that
on my blog
for this entire year
I will be counting
how many Chipotle burritos
I eat.

YUM!
