Happy Birthday to My Favorite Person in the World

After I left the following comment on BBL's blog,
I knew I had to save it for another time to post on my own...

I am really happy that I did.

Lauren asked who our favorite person was as a giveaway entry question.

This was my response:

"My favorite person in the world isn't my cat as many would think.
Nor is it a hottie actor or my BFFs.

She is my grandma.
The woman is kind, brilliant and inspiring if I only could use three words.

I like to think of her as my twin soul.
If I can grow up to be even half as awesome as her, I shall be very proud!"

Dear future husband,
prepare to come second to this woman.
love, a loving but insane future wife.

HAPPY (eightyfreakinthird) BIRTHDAY,
GRANDMAGRANDMA!
<3

*side note*
photos are from a family holiday to Maui.

*second side note*
my parents are flying to Italy right now.
sending them safe travel wishes & prayers.
it is their holiday celebrating 30 years of marriage.
so beautiful and so awesome.
dear future hubs,
good luck.

My Brother, the 21 year old.

On Friday, 26 Nov10
my little bro had a 21st birthday.

and he was in town.
and I got to do something for him.
and this is what I did:

I invited my broha to the 11:15 IMAX on Turkey Day
and went to Couture Cupcake for some birthday noms...

I made sure to 3 different kinds
(all flavors that I like, of course)

When he {& friend Sam} got there late...
We switched theaters... & clinked our cupcakes
:)

Then afterward, a beer!
I bought his first illegal beer...
Only fitting that I buy him his first legal one!

I hope the rest of your birthday weekend was fantastic, Sean!

My Easter Wrap-Up

So "yesterday" was Easter[because I started this at 11:53pm on Monday]and my wonderful family[Daddy, Mum, Brotha & GrandmaGrandma]
drove
hours to take me out to dinner[I drove the 20mins to Loveland to meet them]
because they are awesome!

This is what I wore:
loves it!

This is where we ate:

love the bent fork door handles!

This is the very cool menu:
loves the bent curled fork cover!

This is what I ordered:
loves the french dip with a side of slaw!

This is my surprise dessert:
loves the vanilla bean creme bruleei say it was a surprise because
my family
never orders dessert!& don't you love that i inhaled halfbefore i remembered my camera

This is my beautiful bestest friend:

*
**

also Easter is the end of Lent!& for 40 days & 40 nights
I "gave up" stuff
and this is what actually happened:

#1 I will not bring up Twilight in conversation.
I only slipped up twice in 46 days!

#2 Only 1 piece of chocolate a say.
On 3 separate occasions I caved and gorged!

  #3 No biting my nails!
Only TWICE! Like a MIRACLE!

Now I was feeling a little guilty about breaking my stride 7 times...
but after chatting with Kacey
who is much more Catholic than me
and she said that since between Ash Wed & Easter Sun
sometimes Sundays are considered freebies...

So I only broke once!!!Yes!

How the Diamond family does Christmas...

This is part 1 of 2.
(Plus you'll get a bonus blog!)

The Diamond family Xmas tradish is:

We do Christmas Eve with one half of the fam.
This being Mum's side.
It used to be at Gramma's house.
Now we rotate who's house since Grampa is gone...

(& since both Grandfathers have passed away,
Daddy's mum comes to Xmas Eve too)

Then GrandmaGrandma stays the night
and in the morning the 5 of us
(mum, daddy, bro, gmagma & me)
do stockings,
then breakfast,
then the rest of our presents...

& then we watch 3 of all the DVDs that we asked for.
tehehehe

EXCEPT! =(

This year I have to work at 5 back up in my uni town
so I have to leave between 12-1pm
to make it back in time to work
*tear*
no lazy Xmas for me this year...

14 December 2009

So Thanksgiving was.... last month.

I know!
I KNOW!

I am srsly the slowest blogger of all time!
They are all up in my head and then
TheLazy or TheDistraction
hits and bam nothing.

anyways...

Who is ready for the official highlights from a
Diamond Family Turkey Day!

ME! ME! ME!
and you maybe?!

***
Last time I was able to go home was the 4th of Sept...
And this is what my home looked like:

Then my dad e-mailed me that they were getting new windows.
But apparently that's not all:

So I showed up for Turkey day...
And almost didn't recognize my own house.

I think our home looks beautiful.

I got to spend some time with my beautiful gma!

Yep. I spent some time with the brother as well.

I love seeing my nephews!
And they always have SUPER cute outfits!

Before dinner the boys met our family dog.
Zach tended
to keep a distance. Logan not so much.

But Zach loves to take pictures. Here are his:

He is able to work my dad's iPhone and his Momma's camera almost completely by himself!
He loved that Daddy's iPhone was touch though.
And he could flip through the pictures by touch.

I LOVE Daddy's cooking.
SRSLY, he is such a good cook.
I'm gonna hafta find a hubby with skillz...
I have been a spoiled lil girl!

Our family is a-growin'! Gotta use 2 tables!

Every 6 years, sometimes more,
my poor brother has to share his birthday with the turkey.

And this year he was a good Man and
let Zach share in some of the birthday sport.

Yay family!

Next up Xmas!
