The Bleh Factor. -oh!- & Chipotle!

I am sorry my dear readers...

I have been suffering from the The Bleh Factor recently.
There is lots I'd blogg about but no motivation to actually do it.

SLOTH is good times. but not really.

...

But ALAS!

There IS something worth fighting Sloth and blogging about!

That's right! Chipotle!

No one should forget about Chipotle on Halloween!!!

That's RIGHT! FREE A BURRITO!

At most Chipotle Restaurants they give out a free burrito to those who come in with a tinfoil costume or a tinfoil accented costume!

One year when I was living in Colorado Springs, we went to 6 out of the 7 locations! 6 free burritos, baby! (from a $6 costume!)

[Yeah, I was a slutty burrito! lolz]

So?!
The point of this whole post!?

Be there or be hungry!!!

You know where I'll be!

Swooning over Puck!?

So you might know by now that I am a tid-bit addicted to Twitter...

But I am also an avid watcher of Glee.

Ever since the May preview gave me a phenomenal cover of one of my favorite Journey songs of all time, I have been committed to watching it no matter what!
(aka. If I don't like an episode one week, I am back again the next regardless!)

Well this weeks episode brought a song cover that won me over so much that it will now have to compete with Journey! *gasp*

But not only that but the character who sang it made me swoon, literally!

So without further delay I give you...

"Sweet Caroline" by Puck of Glee

*le sigh*

I have not lusted after Puck at all in any other episode since
he is usually such a jerkface but, man oh man...
did this episode change things!

Mark Salling has such an incredible voice!

And of course I tweeted him such things...

Which, btw, his Twitter account is adorable and sexy!

[Ladies love Mama's boys?]

Even Neil Diamond himself Tweeted about tonight's event!

...um, Neil Diamond has a Twitter account, yes...
...I am unsure of how to feel about this...

you?

...
Ok, back to the less awkward and definitely sexy topic of
Mark Salling.

Not gonna lie, this episode opened my world to
a brand new hottie! ...and I am totally okay with it!

...but what kind of blogger would I be
if I didn't share the wealth?!

So I shall share three sexy pictures
of the swell Texas gent that will
make you swoon and leave you smitten:

It's okay, go ahead and wipe that drool away ladies...
no one but me noticed!

____________
ps. Yes I did just use my four favorite S words in one sentence:
Sexy, Swell, Swoon, Smitten.

For the first time, I feel - Wicked!

The day was Tuesday the 13th of October and it officially ranks as one of the best nights of my life...

I finally got to see Wicked live!!!

-but-
...let us rewind...

I tweeted about how excited I was and even what I was wearing.
[An outfit I am very proud of and felt very BusyBeeLauren tweeting about it!]

Around 3:00MST I left Northern Colorado as Mum left Southern Colorado to meet up and drive to the theatre together.

*note to self*
Always double check the rendezvous point!

On the way, I made a classic Kat move and got off the highway at 144th Ave and parked in front of the Ross in that shopping center and called Mum, since I didn't see her car anywhere.

She said that she was inside Ross and would be out in a sec. Well, being oh so proud of my outfit, I hopped out and sauntered through the Ross doors... and waited.. and waited..

After 5min I called Mum, she said she was out in the parking lot waiting for me, but I went to look and she wasn't. Whaaat?! We started listing off the stores we saw around us...

Clearly we both saw Ross.
I saw Staples. Mum saw Office Max.
...and that's when it hit me...
We were not in the same place.

I went back inside and asked the Ross people what the address was and asked Mum where she was... I was at 144th Ave; Mum was as 104th Ave...! Who knew that 40miles apart there was basically the same shopping center!

So I hopped back on the highway and found Mum at the 104th...

Being me is good times.♥

So anyways...

Mum and I parked right next to the theatre and then walked 16th for a bit to figure out where we wanted to eat dinner. It was so exciting for me to see the tech bus just casually parked to the side of the street. Just think of it...EVERYTHING fits into this truck!

Also there were advertisements for the show everywhere!

Unfortunately, as the temperature of the evening dropped, the more impatient for dinner we both got. So, instead our tummies dictated that we eat at the closest eatery...

Both Mum and I regretted our choice of dinner... =(
Apparently we both got the two top selling dishes and were less than thrilled with the outcome. Normally I love Chicken Fried Chicken no matter how low it falls on the health-o-meter scale but my dish...The gravy just tasted like milky, melted velveta. >.<
Mum got Salmon Fish and Chips because our family loves the way my dad cooks fish and were fans of fish&chips when we went to England... So Mum ordered thinking that Rock Bottom had found a way to make salmon taste flake-y.
We were both wrong. =( Whoops!
-but-
I do stand by the three Cs of Rock Bottom:
Cocktails, Calamari & Coleslaw!

^Major yum! Highly recommended by me!
I can never resist calamari!
& they put Green Apple in the coleslaw!
srsly yummy
I don't usually like coleslaw so you know it was good!

After dinner we walked the theatre complex to decided where we could get dessert and coffee. As you can see from the picture, the architecture of downtown Denver is beautiful!
AND LOOK!

I am so excited at maybe going to see this! (You know, if I can afford tickets)
Anyone want to go/take me!? Dec 1-13th!

The Buell had very cool banners in the windows for Wicked.
So naturally, a picture had to be taken

I love being a tourist in my own state!

Right across from the Buell is a chic place, very classy.

We went in for some yummies and coffee for Mum.
Holy Amazing YumYums Batman!
The CrÚme Brûlée and the Chocolate Bomb were quite literally BOMB!
Go there. Order them. Srsly.

It was also super cute when my friend, Jared, came by the bar and said hi to Mum and me. I knew from Facebook that Jared was going to Wicked that night too and from texting him that he was at Limelight with his family for dinner... But what Mum said later was hilar!

She told me that Jared was heading through the restaurant toward us and I think she might have swooned a little... I introduced the two of them and we had a chitchat and then he returned to his table.
After he left, Mum said:
Kat, he is beautiful! I wanted to tell you that a striking young man was heading right for you!
Silly Mum, Jared is le gay! {tehe}

Both of our families walked out of Limelight at the same time, so we took pictures.
It was good-but-awkward times.

Mum & Me.

Jared & Me.

Inside the Buell is quite breath-taking as well:
'

& the merchandise booths were just too cute:

So, Mum and I went to sit and looked over our free programs...
And I got another fun little surprise!

Lea Michele is touring in the Spring Awakening cast!
You might recognize her from Glee! =]

 So anyways,

I am sorry Buell, but I did sneak a picture or two from inside...

The map back-drop as amazing!
 It gave me a techie-gasim!
Really the whole show gave me a techie-gasim!

I gotta say that I was swooning over the ensemble's Oz Dust costumes!

But costumes and sets weren't the only swoon-worthy parts...

srsly. this Fieryo had me swooning.

If you can, definitely check out this touring cast!

 !YAY!

It was a truly wonderful night!

Driving home was a totally different story...

[This is the video about it!]

A blog! A blog! I promised a blog!

So in this blog, I promised myself I'd clean my room.
-and-
I got a great deal done!

My biggest success is my bookshelf!

Tis beautiful!
I have more to do

but I do feel very accomplished,
so yay!

I have some serious awesomeness coming up!
Wanna guess what they are?!
You get two hints:

Think you got it?!

...
Brrr! Fall is here! Winterlike in Colorado!

We've had snow on and off the last few days!
 -so-
I wanted to give you 3 season musts!

#1 - Amazing Lip Balm

I love Soft Lips (specifically strawberry)!
They even have a "shine" line.

It gives that subtle but perfect boost to your look!

#2 - VITAMINS!

I try to remember to take daily vitamins
-but-
If the SICKNAST catches up to you...
I highly recommend Emergen C!

It is the best over-the-counter miracle in a bottle!
[Not like the crazy-ness of Glee]
But SRSLY! Try it!

#3 - SLEEP! SLEEP! SLEEP!

...I know, I know...

I wish I could take my own advice.
...
I have insomnia... So I nap whenever I can!
Ya'll are welcome to recommend sleep aids to me...
Unfortunately I am a freak:
I hate tea.
Things like Tylenol PM don't work.
& the "night" candles smell funkywrong, not funkyfun, to me.

Thanks for reading!
Stay safe this flu and holiday season!
Can't wait to hear from you!

Cosmo Memories : Enjoying the Little Things

I have decided to start a new theme post called, Cosmo Memories. That right, memories from Cosmopolitan magazine.
How you ask?
Well...
Back in high school I started to clip out articles that I liked, and while cleaning my room today I found a few old articles! But I am trying this new thing called not-being-a-crazy-pack rat and I need to start getting rid of them.
Then...
IDEA! Why don't I post the articles that give really good advice to my blog and then recycle the clippings after!?

So here goes my first... Let me know what you think!

A Few Ideas To Make a Bleh Day, Better!
*Love Sleeping On Saturdays?*
Make you bed even more of a haven by buying the coziest sheets.
Invest in some that have at least a 250-thread count--
the higher the number the softer the sheet!
[I invested in --- count sheets my self last month!]

*Dig Throwing Dinner Parties?*
Buy a round dinning room table--
it will promote converstation, because
everyone will be able to see eachother.
[I want to do this for my 1st place, for sure!]

*Can't Wait To Get Away [Again]?*
Post-vacation, keep your high going by researching
where you want to go on your next trip.
[I like this in theory..I am too broke to even drive home
so right now I am definately pre-vacation(s)]

*Work 'Till You Feel Like ?*
Stock your bathroom with candles in relaxing scents like
lavendar and sandlewood, so every time you take a bath,
you can easily turn it into a spa.
[I keep lots of candles around my room when I can:
because I love how they sound when they burn]

*Not Feeling The Right Vibes?*
Put together an energizing and inspiring
play list just for your commute to work and
a calm and relaxing one for your trip home.
[Woah! Only two? My iTunes list is full of random
play lists for any mood or to get out of a funk!!]

*Needing A Little Boost Before A Date?*
Never go on a date without wearing sassy undies and
a matching bra, even if you know he won't see them.
It's for you, honey.
[I don't know about matching but I do
love a cute pair of undies!...tmi?]

*Sweating Going To The Gym?*
Having cute and flattering gym clothes to slip into means
you'll actually look forward to sweating.
[Agreed!]

*Missing Your Honey? (just.wait.a.bit.longer)*
Right before you fall asleep, send your guy a loving text message.
He'll get it the next morning, and you'll get a sweet
response to start off your a.m. routine.
[Well if I had a honey...]
