The biggest problem I have right now is to name it!

The options:

My Brother, the 21 year old.

On Friday, 26 Nov10
my little bro had a 21st birthday.

and he was in town.
and I got to do something for him.
and this is what I did:

I invited my broha to the 11:15 IMAX on Turkey Day
and went to Couture Cupcake for some birthday noms...

I made sure to 3 different kinds
(all flavors that I like, of course)

When he {& friend Sam} got there late...
We switched theaters... & clinked our cupcakes

Then afterward, a beer!
I bought his first illegal beer...
Only fitting that I buy him his first legal one!

I hope the rest of your birthday weekend was fantastic, Sean!

Thankful on Turkey Day

May we all be as grateful as a kitty who's found warm sunshine.

I am grateful for those in my life who care and love me for me.
I am very blessed to have them.

Happy Thanksgiving.

No Joss, No Buffy.

To all those people in the past 10 years that I have told
"Joss Whedon owns my soul"
... I can now show them this article and they'll see why.

Buffy is my favorite TV show of all time
The 7 seasons of it steamed from
a super cheesey movie but super brilliant idea.

As a fan of Joss with a dream of directing,
I want to work FOR him to inspire new ideas out of me,
not REDO his work.

This whole thing just goes to show the lack of soul left in 'Hollywood'
and the real heroes are truly underdogs.

Frugal Gal Knitting Tip: Circular Stitch Marker

I love to knit.
Ages ago my grandma taught me how.
I got addicted and she gave me a lot of supplies to help said addition.
Between living with her now and that Ravelry site and that blogger friend...
I have become re-addicted
And better than ever!

This means more challenging patterns and plans.
When you combine this addiction to that of my Harry Potter addiction...
You get me trying knitting on a smaller set of circular needles
and knitting in the round for the first time.

Why all this hulla-buh-loo?
So that I can make a Ravenclaw scarf like this.
(Or this one on Ravelry)

But I do not have a circular stitch marker.
Basically a little piece of plastic that marks the beginning of a row.

The thing is these come in a multi-sized plastic set, around $5-10...

Or pretty dangle-y ones at a pretty price,say $15-25!

Well at this post-Uni-moment in time,
I don't have the ca$h to buy it.

So I just looked around the house
and found....
a safety pin!

Doesn't everyone have about a thousand hanging around the house?
I like the sound that "free" makes!

Feel free to leave other 'frugal gal' tips in my comments!

still. swooning. swoon-overload!

I am a fan of Katy Perry.
I love Teenage Dream enough to consider it for my future wedding.
Well the fact that I am still swooning over this performance:
...means that my future hubby needs to have some pipes!!

Oh. My. Lawd!!!
I had enough credit on iTunes to buy one more song.
I am SO happy I waited to spend it!
Worth it!

Then I got on to YouTube to check my sub...

Oh you best BELIEVE it is already ripped and on my iTouch!

But I does irk me is that my comment on the video is
'pending approval'

So I screencapped it to share with all of you.

Damn skippy!

I love some of the other comments too!

But fo reals.
I love Glee but I love true musical talent more...
And Glee tweeks the crap out of everyone's voice!

I truly do understand that not everyone is cut out to sing.
I am not.
But the people cast on Glee were cast because they are hot and talented!
So let their talent shine FOX!

oh wait.
I forgot who I was talking to.

Do you watch Glee?
What do you think?
Open discussion in my comments!!!
Politeness strongly encouraged!

ps. If you love male vocals as much as I do,
& subsequently this video. You won't be sorry.

I am a Colorado Voter!

To me, it is super important.

Since I moved back to my hometown this year,
I re-registerd with the the mail-in option.

I did this to make a fashion statement
I did this so that I could really take my time.

As you can see in my picture adventure above,
I got to take my ballot in and get my sticker.
And then yes, I did make a fashion statement!

I also got interviewed about my submission to CNN iReport!
That was pretty cool.

Here in Colorado, to me,
the biggest issue on this midterm ballot was
Amendment 62: Definition of a Person.

I am Pro-Choice personally,

What I really feared was what this amendment
would do for birth control options.
Or turn it into a lack of.

Taking away abortion would be one thing.
Altering rights to birth control is crazy!

I am just proud my state knocked it down again.
This time it was beat with 70% No.

Other Happy Results:

Colorado Senate-
Bennett leading with 47.7%
(with 97% reporting)
 Colorado Governer-
Hickenlooper the clear winner 50.7%
(with 97% reporting)

Other Sad Results:

Colorado Springs voted to put a cap on funding for parks & open spaces.
It makes me pissedspice.

America- Did you vote yesterday?
If not, why?
Other country- Do you think voting is important?

I have watched Sophia & Bell on YouTube for sometime now
and when I saw this video in my Sub box yesterday,
I just knew I had to share it!

Plus I totally support having an Aussie iBFF! ;o)

Watch the whole thing.
So. Worth. It.

I have my midnight Part 1 tix!!
Do you?!

Halloween is my Favorite!!!

Every year I have at least 3 costumes!
[Well it IS my favorite holiday!]
For me this year, I went as Sookie Stackhouse from True Blood!
I even lightened my blonde a little but none of the cameras picked it up.
Wah wah wah.
And even though I don't have my own Eric this year...
I had my own Dawn Green!
It was a 'killer' Saturday night!
And late, late, late Sunday morning! ;o)

As in I got in at 4:30 late!
But it was FUN!
(complete with Eric bite's, you like?)

For the kids, I went as a Kitteh Kat.
Even with my welcoming candy sign,
the only lil one we got was a family friend.
Silly privacy fence. Good 364 days out of the year.

For Chipotle, I went as Na.
...one part of Sodium Chloride, aka Table Salt!
It might not be the processed food theme,
but too much ain't healthy!
& I did get my $2 boorito!

What did you do on my favorite holiday?!
